My erasmus experience

I arrived in the Netherlands with a friend and two suitcases. We had to buy the train tickets, get to the city and find the hostal we had booked. The first hours were a bit stressing because our phones were not working. But the next day everything became better: we went to pick up the keys for our new accomodation and we met our flatmates. It was really exciting because it was a new experience for all of us.

One of the most challenging things was speaking in English - until then, I had used English only at school, and in not real contexts. But this time was different: if you didn't spoke in English, nobody could understand you, so you had the need to use it for making the others understand you. At the beginning, it was a bit difficult for me to talk: I was not feeling comfortable because I did not feel confident with my level of English. I knew that nobody was going to laugh at me, but I knew my English level was not the best. The days passed and I started to have my first long conversations with non-Spanish people. I kept improving my pronunciation and vocabulary, and the lasts two months I was really happy with my English level.

One of my flatmates was studying journalism, and she had a personal blog. She interviewed us all and used them for her blog. Hear it is a fragment of the interview she did to me:
