My autobiography

The way I am is related to the month I was born: February. In February, we celebrate Saint Valentine’s Day and Carnival. So, as you will suppose, I consider myself to be an affectionate and cheerful person. Although the truth is that I am also a reflection of my father who is friendly and formal.

As my parents did not have the chance to study at school, they wanted me to achieve a good job, or at least, the one I desired. In that way, I took an active role because I wanted to demonstrate people that it does not matter where you come from and how your family is.

At first, I went to a school near my father’s job because he worked almost all day. So my mum took care of me and she was in charge of the housework too. Thus, I took responsibility for helping my mother in everything she needed. Surely, I grew up too earlier than the rest of the children of my age. I learnt how to manage with my responsibilities and therefore I lost the opportunity to enjoy my childhood.

However, my arrival to high school was amazing. I met people from different places and consequently different backgrounds. As I always went to a village school, I knew everybody. But there I did not know anybody, so I had to make new friends, which was not a big problem for me, because I was an extroverted boy. At that time, I started to think about my future and I was clear that I wanted to be an English teacher.

Nowadays, I am studying the teaching degree at the University of Valencia. It has been a breath of fresh air because I have been able to run away from my little village and I moved to a marvelous city. Moreover, I have taken a different role than before because now I am doing what I always wanted to do. Thus, I have enjoyed all these years doing my projects and above all, my internships.

Finally, my dad always tells me that everyone can achieve what they want if they never give up fighting.  Although dreams do not always arrive when one wants because good things come to those who wait. For this reason, I understood what he always explained to me, so I worked hard to achieve my dream because no pain, no gain. Nevertheless, my training does not end here; it will continue progressing because teachers are constantly learning from their pupils.
